  1. In cases where Air Fare paid for travel by Air India under LTC happens to be less than LTC 80 fare also admissible for reimbursement

I am a central govt. employee purchased air india ltc tickets on 23-4-2018 for a&n islands, are they eligible for reimbursement or compulsorily I have to purchase ltc 80 tickets only to claim the reimbursement. Please clarify.

  3. I recently planned LTC trip to Patna and found that LTC 80 tickets are not available so I had to take a full fare ticket fro Air India. Can it be reimbursed since no LTC tickets were available on that date ? any one has any idea.

  4. I am working under an autonomous body under the Central Govt. Recently I was transferred from Cochin to Kolkata. But my family is still at Cochin. When I applied for LTC for my family to travel to Kolkata now, my Office has informed that as per DoPT OM No. 31011//14/86- Est. (A) dated 8/5/1987 that the reimbursement under LTC should in no case exceed the actual distance travelled by the family or the distance between the HQ/ Place of posting of Govt. servant and the place visited/hometown, whichever is less. Since my HQ and the place of destination are the same, i will not be eligible for the benefits under LTC.

Kindly enlighten me whether these observations are correct. If any subsequent order is available in this regard, please inform me.

  5. I am a fresh recruit joined in 2006. According to 6CPC, I have three hometowns and one ALL India. I availed All India LTC in July 2010. I applied for Hometown in Sept 2011. Office is rejecting this saying that I cannot avail homwtown this year. I have three home towns left. Is there any prescribed order to utilise Three+one?

  12. Sir,
I am working in a autonomus body in NE. I want to avail yearly LTC for the academic year by appling 8days of CL. I want to know 8 days CL can be availed at a time with the approval of the Head of the Office. Please answer.

    Yours faithfully,

  13. LTC 80 Scheme is creating great hardship to Central Govt employees. The fare is increased frequently by AI at its own wish. Very limited seats are available. One has to book months in advance. The Rs.100/- cancellation facility is misnomer. Generally, tickets under LTC 80 are not available and one has to buy tickets under other fare. No transparency is there. No information on availability is provided. One can book ticket either through AI counter or through two authorized agents. The employees working remote / small areas have no option to book tkt.

In simple words, Air India has taken monopoly for air travel by Central Govt. employees and blackmailing them.
