Central Civil Services (Implementation of NPS) Rules 2021 – Notification dated 30th March 2021

Govt Servant in NPS is eligible to receive a lump sum compensation

It has now been decided that if a Government employee appointed on or after 01.01.2004 and covered under NPS is disabled, he shall also be eligible to receive a lump sum compensation computed in terms of rule 9(3) of CCS (EOP) Rules, if the disablement is attributable to Government service and the Government employee is retained in service in spite of such disablement

Govt servants who were boarded out, prior to 2006 are eligible for the service element of disability pension w.e.f. 01.01.2006

It is clarified that Central Civil Government servants who were boarded out, prior to 01.01.2006, with a qualifying service of less than ten years and were in receipt of only the disability element of disability pension, would also be eligible for the service element of disability pension, w.e.f. 01.01.2006, in addition to the disability element
