Navy asks commanders to monitor traning of personnel

To maintain highest state of readiness in order to meet unforeseen challenges, Indian Navy has asked its top commanders to closely monitor the training of naval personnel and honing of their skills to ensure proper execution of the tasks and missions.   Indian Navy by ni87kita

Taking stock of the naval preparedness during the four day-long Naval Commander’s Conference here, Navy Chief Admiral Nirmal Verma stressed on the need to ensure that naval units are kept at the highest state of readiness.

He laid stress on close monitoring of ongoing projects to ensure timely completion and to prevent cost over runs.

“Special attention would be paid to the ongoing projects at forward naval bases in in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Tuticorin and the Naval Air Enclaves,” officials said.

The commanders also discussed the induction and integration of aircraft carrier INS Vikramaditya in the Navy by the next year.
