OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: – Guidelines for processing proposals for appointment/extension/ termination of appointment to a Board level post in any PSU requiring approval of ACC

The undersigned is directed to say that various instructions governing appointment/extension/termination of appointment etc. to a Board level posts in various PSUs have been issued by this Department, DPE, PESB and CVC from time to time. For easy reference, the contents of important Instructions on the subject have been consolidated as a compilation “processing of proposals for appolntment/extension/termination of appointment etc to a Board leveI post In any PSU for approval of ACC.” Since November, 2013, these instructions are also available on DoPT’s website www.oersmin.nic.in (O.M. & Orders >Establíshment Officers>S.No,10—>Guidelines For Processing Cases of Board Level Appointments in Central Public Sector Undertakings). The procedural requirement for submission of cases to the ACC is outlined in the Appendix-II of the compilation. The number and date of original instructions has also been referred In these guidelines for easy reference to the context.

2. This Department will regularly update the aforesaid Instructions as and when any new instructions are issued. All the Departments are requested to check the applicability of instructions as on the date of processing the proposals for appointment of Board level post(s) in CPSUs.
