ANSWER
Minister of State in the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions and Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office. (DR. JITENDRA SINGH)
(a) and (b): The Government has decided to use an AADHAR Enabled Bio-metric Attendance System (AEBAS) in all offices of the Central Government, including attached / sub-ordinate Offices, in India. There is no change in the instructions relating to office hours, late attendance etc. Biometric attendance system is only an enabling platform to mark attendance.
(c) and (d): Details of such assessments are not required to be centrally maintained.

Adhar based biometric attendance will definitely improve attendance of employees. It should be made compulsory to not only central govt employees but all state Govt and public sector employees particulary teachers and doctors.
