DISABILITY PENSION TO DEFENCE PERSONNEL
- SHRI CHANDESHAR PRASAD:
Will the Minister of DEFENCE be pleased to state:-
(a) the total number of defence personnel provided disability pension during the last five years and the current year, year-wise;
(b) whether the Government is aware that somearmy officers have not got their disability and service pension even after one year of their discharge from service;
(c) if so, the details of total number of suchcases pending till date alongwith the reasons for delay in crediting their disability and service pension;
(d) whether the Government has given anyassurance in this regard; and
(e) if so, the details thereof?

(a): Year-wise details of total number of Defence Pensioners granted disability pension during the last five years and current year are as follows: –

(b): There is no pension claim of Defence Forces Personnel pending beyond prescribed limit for notification which qualify as per extant policies/rules of the Government for grant of Disability Pension and Disability Element + Service Pension.
(c) to (e): In view of (b) above, question does not arise.
