Subject: Issue of stay order on recovery of Commuted Value of Pension.

I am directed to invite your attention towards this Department’s Memo No. 1/15/2024-1Pension (FD) dated 13.06.2024,19.06.2024, 25.06.2024, 26.06.2024 and 01.07.2024 on the subject noted above.

2. In compliance to Interim Order passed by Hon’ble Punjab and Haryana High Court in various CWPs, the necessary directions to stop the recovery of Commuted Value of Pension till the vacation of stay orders, from Pensioners (Petitioners in CWPS) who has completed 10 years of retirement or above have already been issued to your offices.

3. In order to avoid further litigation in the matter, State Government has considered the issue and decided to stop the recovery of Commuted Value of Pension till the vacation of Stay Orders, from all Pensioners (including Petitioners) of State Government who has completed 10 years of retirement or above.

You are requested to issue necessary directions to the officers concerned for implementation of above decision.
