Conference of AR(Administrative Reforms) Secretaries of States/UTs Begins Tomorrow

The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances, Government of India is organizing a Conference of Secretaries of Administrative Reforms of the States/Union Territories here tomorrow. The Conference will be inaugurated by the MoS (PMO&PP) Shri Prithviraj Chavan.

The Conference aims to create a national platform to share experience of the states in the field of reforms/initiatives undertaken by the departments of Administrative Reforms in the state/union territories to improve public service delivery, make the administration effective, transparent, accountable and citizen-friendly. It will also provide a forum for the A R departments of the States/UTs to highlight the challenges faced by them and their expectations from the Department of AR &PG, Government of India.

In addition to the inaugural session, there will be three plenary sessions. The first plenary session will be on a panel discussion on ‘Outcome Oriented Civil Service – Way Ahead’. The second plenary will focus on the implementation of ARC recommendations pertaining to the states in respect of the 12th Report – Citizen – Centric Administration. In the third session, there would be presentations by the AR Secretaries about their states.

An annual feature of this Department, this Conference is second in a row.

    The Conference aims to create a national platform to share experience of the states in the field of reforms/initiatives undertaken by the departments of Administrative Reforms in the state/union territories to improve public service delivery, make the administration effective, transparent, accountable and citizen-friendly. It will also provide a forum for the A R departments of the States/UTs to highlight the challenges faced by them and their expectations from the Department of AR &PG, Government of India.

    but i request the experience of ordinary men and women and NGO who are looking after the neglected population will also be heard by this Conference at least in the future programme
