NJCA should boycott the provisional implementation of Pay fixation ( multiplying by 2.57 ) until the entire report viz New Formula, Fitment Table , Minimum and subsequent Pay upto highest level , Allowances and “same pension for same rank + Junior not to get more pension than Senior of the same rank ” etc is finally approved.

In the Vth Pay clerical staff were given 40% fitment instead of a Pay scale and the 6th Pay recommendations spoke of pay commensurate with responsibility. It showed that it did not respect the sentiments of the clerical staff . It was a big bluff ! This time too the 7th pay does not consider them with a scale in order to solve the pay parity problem. In future you will find dearth of clerical staff because they are not paid well. You are moving into a regime of professionals without clerks. Today clerical jobs are reduced to mere social service. You will certainly reap what you sow, later don’t regret because people don’t take up clerical jobs because they are made to appear inferior than others and appear to be unremunerative.
