It is now confirmed that, from the AICPIN-IW published in the Labourbureau website   for the month of JUNE 2012, the Percentage of  Dearness Allowance that will be paid for Central Government Employees from July 2012 will be 72%.

The  All India Consumer Price Index Number for Industrial Worker for the last 12 months, ie from July2011 to June 2012  is given below

Jul-11193
Aug-11194
Sep-11197
Oct-11198
Nov-11199
Dec-11197
Jan-12198
Feb-12199
Mar-12201
Apr-12205
May-12206
Jun-12208

The avarage AICPIN-IW for the past 12 months is 199.58
If we apply this in the Formula given below to calculate the Dearness Allowance, we will get the exact amount of Dearness Allowance Percentage that will be paid from July 2012.
Dearness Allowance = (Avg of AICPI -IW for the past 12 months – 115.76)*100/115.76
So the Percentage of Dearness Allowance that will be paid for Central Government Employees from July 2012 will be 72%.   The Central Government of Employees will be happy to witness a noticeable increase in their salary from the month of July 2012 on account of one annual Increment and   7%  hike in the  Dearness Allowance Component. But the Central Government decision over Dearness Allowance will be taken by the Cabinet Committee,  by  the First week of  September 2012.
