Heavy Vehicles Factory, Avadi, Chennai [USER ID: STNTLC000004] [Unit of Armoured Vehicles Nigam Limited] invites Online application from eligible Graduate/Diploma holders in Engineering (passed during 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 & 2023), hailing from Tamilnadu, for undergoing one year Apprenticeship training under the Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act 1973

I. C. Category – III Non Engineering Graduate Apprentices:- (Arts / Science / Commerce)

II. MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
A. Category – I Graduate Apprentices:-

  • A Degree in Engineering or Technology (Full time) granted by a Statutory University in relevant discipline.
  • A Degree in Engineering or Technology (Full time) granted by an Institution empowered to grant such degree by an Act of Parliament in relevant discipline.
  • Graduate examination of Professional bodies recognized by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to above.
    B. Category – II Technician (Diploma) Apprentices:-
  • A Diploma in Engineering or technology (Full time) granted by a State Council or Board of Technical Education established by a State Government in relevant discipline.
  • A Diploma in Engineering or Technology(Full time) granted by a University in relevant discipline.
  • A Diploma in Engineering and Technology granted by an Institution recognised by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to above.
    C. Category – III Non Engineering Graduates Apprentices:- (Arts / Science / Commerce)
  • A Degree in Arts/ Science/ Commerce/ Humanities such as BA/ B.Sc., / B.Com/ BBA/ BCA etc., (Regular – Full time) granted by a Statutory University / Deemed University in relevant discipline. – UGC approved

III. AGE:

Age limit will be followed as per Apprenticeship Rules.

IV. RESERVATION OF VACANCIES:

Guidelines under Apprentices Act on Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PwD will be followed. Those who are claiming reservation under SC/ST/OBC/PwD shall provide certificate as per Government standard format, failed which their claim for reservation will be considered as ‘General’ category only. If BC/MBC candidates claiming OBC (Non-creamy layer) category, they should bring OBC(NCL) certificate as per the approved (OBC (NCL)) format from the certificate issuing authority.

V. MINIMUM PHYSICAL STANDARDS:

As prescribed in Clause 4 of the Apprenticeship Rule 1992, and amendments thereof if any.

VI. DURATION OF TRAINING:

The duration of Apprenticeship training will be for a period of one year as per Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act 1973.

VII. PREVIOUS TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:

Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship under Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act 1973, and/or having one year or more experience are NOT ELIGIBLE to apply.

VIII. SELECTION PROCEDURE:

Board of Apprenticeship Training (SR) is interested with the task of preparation of shortlist from the online application data. Shortlisting of candidates will be done based on the percentage of marks obtained in the basic prescribed qualification as applicable to the respective disciplines. Shortlisted candidates shall be intimated through their registered Email id. Shortlisted candidates have to appear for Certificate Verification at HVF, Avadi, Chennai.

IX. PROCEDURE FOR REGISTRATION AND SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION IN HEAVY VEHICLES FACTORY (STNTLC000004)

For students who have already enrolled in the National Web Portal (www.mhrdnats.gov.in) and having login detailsFor students who have not so far enrolled in the National Web Portal
Step 1:
a. Login
b. Click Establishment Request Menu
c. Click Find Establishment
d. Upload Resume e. Choose Establishment name
f. Type “HEAVY VEHICLES FACTORY” and search
g. Click apply
h. Click apply again.
Step 1:
a. Go to https://nats.education.gov.in
b. Click Student
c. Click Student Register
d. Complete the application form
e. A unique Enrolment Number (ATN… ……….. ) 12 digits for each student will be generated. After completing the Enrollment
Step 2 :
a. Login
b. Search “HEAVY VEHICLES FACTORY” under Apply against advertised vacancies
c. Click Apply (You have successfully applied for the vacancy)

Please Note: Percentage of marks in the Graduate / Diploma/ Non Engg. Graduate Examination is mandatory. Hence candidates are advised to compulsorily enter percentage of marks in the column “% of marks / CGPAx10” in the NATS portal. If % of marks is not furnished candidature will not be considered.
