Benefitting Future Generations
These schools are expected to cater to 82,560 new students, adding to the existing 13.56 lakh students enrolled across 1,256 functional KVs. The inclusive model ensures that children from transferable Central Government and Defence employee families, floating populations, and underdeveloped areas have access to quality education.
The Legacy of Kendriya Vidyalayas
Established in 1962, Kendriya Vidyalayas have been the cornerstone of India’s educational system, offering a uniform standard of learning across the country. Recognized for their high academic standards, innovative teaching methods, and modern infrastructure, KVs continue to be some of the most sought-after schools in India.
A Step Towards National Education Policy (NEP) 2020
Aligning with the goals of NEP 2020, most KVs have been designated as PM SHRI Schools, acting as exemplars of excellence in education. These schools not only implement the core tenets of NEP 2020 but also serve as benchmarks for others to follow.
