In a recent Rajya Sabha session, Members of Parliament Shri Javed Ali Khan and Shri Ramji Lal Suman raised Question No. 237 regarding the 8th Central Pay Commission (CPC) for Central Government employees and pensioners. They inquired about its approval, appointment of key members, and the expected timeline for its recommendations.

Responding to the query, Minister of State for Finance, Shri Pankaj Chaudhary, confirmed that the Union Cabinet has approved the constitution of the 8th CPC. However, details regarding the appointment of its Chairperson and Members, as well as the official notification and submission timeline, will be decided in due course.
