Seventh pay commission latest news

After 7th Pay Commission recommendation was implemented with effect from 1.1.2016, all Central Government employees want to know the latest news and orders if any issued regarding their 7th CPC Salary Pay Scale and Allowances

Initially the central government was trying to delay the implementation of 7th pay commission recommendation. First it has decided to constitute Implementation Cell in Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance.

Later it had been directed to all the Ministries to Nominate a Nodal Officers to represent and address the departmental issues with Implementation Cell.

Finally the order for implementation of 7th CPC had been issued on 25th July 2016.

Many changes have been made in 7th Pay Commission in Pay Scale and All Allowances and Advances

All Interest free advances have been abolished and the advances granted with interest were retained. HBA and Computer Advances are retained and till now being granted to all eligible central government employees.

Dearness Allowance has been neutralised from 1.1.2016, since it has been indexed with basic pay to arrive 7th CPC Pay Scale.

7th CPC Pay Scale is highlight of the 7th Pay Commission recommendation. It was new format evolved to make the pay fixation calculation and Annual increment calculation simple. It was named as Pay Matrix

To revise the sixth CPC pay to 7th CPC pay , Fitment factor 2.57 is recommended. The pay in pay band + grade pay to be multiplied by 2.57 and the nearest cell in the Level prescribed for the respective Grade pay is fixed as 7th CPC pay with effect from 1.1.2016

No pay revision takes place after the date of notification i.e 25-7-2016.
