Small Saving Schemes Interest rate from 1.1.2018

NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the January. 2018

G.S.R ( E ) In exercise of the powers conferred by section 15 of the Government Savings Banks Act, 1873 (5 of 1873), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the National Savings Time Deposit Rules, 1981 namely:-

1. (1) These rules may be called the National Savings Time Deposit (Amendment) Rules. 2017.
(2) They shall deemed to have come into force on the 1 st day of January, 2018.

2. In the National Savings Time Deposit Rules. 1981 in rule 7,-

(A) under the heading Table-Y, for the brackets. words, figures and letters “(For deposits made on or after the 1st July 2017)”. the brackets words, figures and deposits made on or after the 31st day of July. 2017 but before the day of October 2017)” shall be substituted,

(B) after Table-Y, the following Table shall be inserted, namely:-

“Table-Z”

(C) in the Notes, in paragraph (2), for the word and letter “Table Y”, the words and letters “Table Y or Table Z’ Shan be substituted.
