Naval Veteran Sailors Welfare Body ‘Veteran Sailors Forum’ Meets on 11 Jul 10 at New Delhi

The largest Annual General Meeting and Governing Council Meeting of the Veteran Sailors’ Forum (Delhi Charter) is scheduled on 11 Jul 10 at 1015 hrs at Naushala, Nau Sena Bagh 1, Chanakya Puri for the benefit of all ex-sailors/widows of naval sailors’ residing in the states of Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, UttaraKhand, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Bihar, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh.

Veteran Sailors’ Forum (VSF) was established in Apr 08 at New Delhi, by Vice Admiral DK Dewan as the Chief of Personal, with the principal aim of providing focussed attention to issues relating to ex-sailors/widows/ dependents far and wide. The forum has now expanded to 12 Charters/sub-Charters. VSF has been instrumental in providing assistance for availing benefits earmarked for ex-servicemen under various schemes.

The event is being organised on a large scale with help desks of Indian Naval Benevolent Association, Ex-servicemen Contributary Health Scheme, Indian Naval Placement Agency, Directorate of Pay and Allowences and Directorate of Ex Servicemen Affairs /Veteran Sailors Forum would be set up to resolve issues on the spot.
