Five new Kendriya Vidyalayas on Railway land

Five new Kendriya Vidyalayas to be set up on Railway land have been sanctioned so far by the Ministry of Human Resource Development.

Educational facilities would be open to the wards of Railway employees as well as also for common citizens living in the vicinity.

Ministry of Railways has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ministry of Human Resource Development for development of educational facilities on Railway premises. A high Powered Working Group consisting of senior officials from both the Ministries has been constituted for achievement of the objectives of MoU.

This information was given by the Minister of State for Railways, Shri E. Ahamed in a written reply in Rajya Sabha today.
