Labour bureau released All India Consumer Price Index Numbers for Industrial Workers (AICPIN-IW) for the month of December 2019. According to its Press release, AICPIN increased 2 points and pegged at 330 and DA from January 2020 has been finalised.
Every month based on the retail price of essential commodities in previous month, Labour Bureau issues press release declaring the CPI for that month. [ See all AICPIN Points press release ]

These AICPIN Points are taken into account for calculation of Dearness Allowance to Central government Employees and Pensioners as well as Employees of PSUs and banking Sector, Hence, this December 2019 AICPIN Point is expected very eagerly.
This is the last Month AICPIN to determine the rate of DA from 1st January 2020.
According to the Labour Bureau Press release dated 31st December 2019, the AICPIN for December has been released today on 31st January 2020.
After AICPIN for December 2019 increased 2 points, it is estimated that the DA from January  2020 will be enhanced to 21% from 17% with 4% Hike.
