In response to the pressing need for Central Government Employees to have improved accessibility to CPWD (Central Public Works Department) Guest Houses and Holiday Homes, NCJCM Staff Side advocates for the provision to book two rooms through the e-Sampada Portal. This change is not only a matter of convenience but also a cost-effective solution to accommodate family members and enhance the overall experience of government employees during their travel. Let’s delve into the details of why this change is necessary and how it can significantly benefit our dedicated government personnel.

The Current Scenario of Booking Holiday Home

As it stands, Central Government Employees are using the e-Sampada Portal to book rooms in CPWD Guest Houses and Holiday Homes. While this portal has streamlined the booking process and brought about efficiency, there is a notable limitation. Currently, employees are only allowed to book one room, and here’s where the issue arises.

Most rooms in CPWD Guest Houses are designed to be two-bedroom units. However, due to the existing policy of booking only one room per employee, those travelling with their parents or children often find themselves in a predicament. In such cases, accommodating the entire family in one room becomes a challenge, and employees are left with no option but to book a second room through their colleagues or acquaintances.

Provision to book two rooms through e-Sampada Portal in CPWD Guest Houses / Holiday Homes

The Central Government Employees are booking rooms in CPWD Gust Houses Central Government Holiday Homes through e Sampada Portal. As of now the employees are allow to book only one room (most of the rooms in CPWD Guest Houses are Two Bed Rooms only). Employees those who are travelling with their Parents and Children’s are enable to manage in one room.

Therefore employees are forced to book the 2nd room through their colleagues which is costing three times than the ordinary rent. Therefore the existing system may be reviewed and an employee should be allowed to book two rooms in CPWD Guest Houses / Holiday Homes through e-Sampada which will help in accommodating the family members of the employees
