Extended Zone of consideration for SC / ST in Promotion

Normally five times of vacancy to be taken as zone of Consideration for SC /ST reservation if the SC/ST candidates are not available within the normal zone of consideration. The Calculation of Zone of Consideration is given in Annexure of this OM

The DOPT OM No. 22011/2/2002 – Estt (D) dated 6th  January 2006  provided the guidelines to be followed by DPC’s to calculate the  Extended Zone of consideration for SC/ST.
