Transport Allowance Increased for Level 1 and 2 for Matrix pay Rs.24200 and above
We, Gservants.com have brought up the issue of Transport Allowance reduced for Govt servants [ Click to Read ] those who were drawing Rs.7440 and above in Pay in the pay band in Sixth CPC. Now the Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance has taken up the issue and identified the Matrix pay Rs.24200 and above in Level 1 and 2 as eligibility criteria for grant of Transport Allowance @ Rs.3600/- plus DA thereon at Higher TPTA cities and @ Rs 1800/- plus DA. thereon at all Other Places.

Subject: – Implementation of the recommendations of the 7th Central Pay Commission relating to grant of Transport Allowance to Central Government employees.
In partial modification of this Departments O.M. Of even number dated 07.072017 regarding implementation of the recommendations Of the Seventh Central Pay Commission relating to grant of Transport Allowance to Central Government employees, the President is pleased to decide that Central Government employees who are drawing pay of Rs.24200/- & above in Pay Level 1 & 2 of the Pay Matrix, shall eligible for grant of Transport Allowance @ Rs.3600/- plus DA. thereon at the cities mentioned in the Annexure to the above cited ON. and @ Rs 1800/- plus DA. thereon at all Other Places.
3. These orders shall be effective from 1st July, 2017.
4. These orders will apply to all civilian employees of Central Government. The orders will also apply to the civilian employees paid from tie Service Estimates. In respect of the Armed Forces Personnel and Railway employees. separate orders will be issued by the Ministry of Defence and Ministry Of Railways. respectively
5. In so far as the persons serving in the Indian Audit and Accounts Department are concerned, these orders issue in consultation with the Comptroller & Auditor General of India.
