The Central Government Employees and Pensioners are said to be disheartened by the decision of Central Government that no increase shall be granted in the rate of DA and DR from 1.1.2020 to 1.7.2021. Also, it has been announced that DA arrears will not be paid for this period.

Hence, naturally everyone wants to check how much amount they will not get due to the Order issued by Ministry of Finance

As of now Only 4% DA hike from 1.1.2020 has been approved by cabinet.  The rate of additional instalment of DA from 1st July 2020 and 1st January 2021 can be calculated according to the Consumer Price Index for the respective period of DA instalment.

How to use this DA Arrears Calculator from January 2020

But DA Arrears can however be calculated by assuming the percentage of DA hike from 1 to 10% level for every instalment of DA.

It is expected that the AICPIN for remaining months up to June 2020 may give an increase upto 4% DA from 1st July 2020. Like wise the DA from 1st January 2021 may increase by 3% to 4%.

But whatever the DA hike, which are arrived though the prescribed formula from AICPIN Points officially announced, will be subsumed with the additional instalment of DA from 1st July 2021. Hence the hike in these three instalments will be added with the DA hike from 1st July 2021. Till then the existing rate of DA  17% will be paid to central Government employees.
