DA order for central government employees

Dearness Allowance is calculated using CPI for Industrial Workers in the prescribed formula. The DA order will be issued by Finance Ministry after the approval granted by the Cabinet Committee of Ministers. Usually the decision for increasing Dearness Allowance will be taken in its Meeting.

The Cabinet approval for enhancing rate of DA from January will be taken in the second or third week of March every year. The Decision for enhancing Dearness Allowance from July will be taken at the Meeting of Cabinet Committee in midst of September.Few days after the approval, Ministry of Finance will issue the necessary order for payment of DA to cg employees.

The order will be issued after  two or three months from date due from which the enhanced rate of DA to be paid to central government employees. So DA arrears to this effect will be paid successive month of DA order issued
