It is expected that KV Admission Notification 2020-21 will be issued in third week of Feb 2020. But due to COVID-19 Pandemic , it is delayed and finally the Admission Notice for Online Registration for Class I is issued on 15.7.2020

KV School Online Admission Notice for Class I and above

Online Registration for Admission to Class I in Kendriya Vidyalayas for the Academic Year 2020-2021 will commence at 10:00 am on 20.07.2020 and will close at 7:00 pm on 07.08.2020. The Admission details can be obtained through website https://kvsonlineadmission.kvs.gov.in and also through Android Mobile App.

The official Android Mobile App for KVS Online Admission for Class I for the academic year 2020-2021 and instructions for downloading and installing the App will be available at https://kvsonlineadmission.kvs.gov.in/apps/ .

The app will be available at the above URL and also at the Google Play Store. Parents are requested to go through the instructions for using the portal and mobile app carefully before using them.

Registration for Class II and above will be done from 20.07.2020 and 8:00 am to 25.07.2020 upto 4:00 pm if vacancies exist (in offline mode). For Class XI, Registration forms may be downloaded from Vidyalaya Website as per the schedule for admission 2020-2021 available on KVS(HQ) Website

Reckoning of age for all Classes shall be as on 31.03.2020. Reservation of seats will be as per KVS Admission Guideline available on the Website

Under present situation of COVID -19, the directions issued by Competent Authority (Central/State/Local) are to be followed. Accordingly, the parents are requested not to visit Kendriya Vidyalayas physically to avoid gathering. All information regarding Admission, Registration form will be available on Vidyalaya/KVS (HQ) website for download.

Age Limit for Admission class I to Class X in Kendriya Vidyalaya

Age Limit criteria is very important factor that parents should keep in mind while applying for Class I admission in KV School. The guidelines issued by KVS for admission 2019-20 prescribed the the following age limits

How to calculate the Age cut off for Admission for class I ?

The minimum age for admission to Std 1 is 5 years and the maximum admissible age is 7 years as on 01/04/2019, with a 2 year relaxation in upper age limit for “Differently-Abled” candidates.

Thus, the allowed range of date of birth of a child seeking admission is: 1.04.2013 to 1.04.2015 for applications not in the “Differently Abled” category. The allowed range of date of birth of a child seeking admission in the “Differently Abled” category is 1.04.2011 to 1.04.2015. MP Quota for Admission in Kendriya Vidyalaya

Under the Scheme of Special Dispensation Admission in Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) for Hon’ble Members of Parliament, each MP of Lok Sabha can refer 10 (ten) cases for admission in an academic year but such recommendations shall be confined to the children whose parents belong to his/her constituency either by domicile or on account of having been soon-before posted there or else on account of exigencies of service migrate to his/her constituency. Such recommendations would be for admissions in Kendriya Vidyalaya(s) (KVs) located in his/her constituency only. For Hon’ble MPs of the Rajya Sabha, the State from which the member has been elected would be deemed to be his/her constituency for this purpose. Nominated Members of the Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha can recommend 10 (ten) cases for admission in any one or more KVs of the country.

Kendiriya Vidyalaya Admission Guidelines 2020-21

Kendiriya Vidyalaya Admission guidelines for Academic year 2020-21 will be issued immediately after the issuance of KV Admission Notification. Almost all the instructions issued in Admission Guidelines for 2019-20 will be same for this academic year except the cut off dates and Online application dates.

Admission Criteria for Class I for 2020-21 in Kendriya Vidyalaya

1.Sponsor Quota Seats in Each section in Class I Admission

05 seats in each section of class I, within the approved class strength (40) will be filled by the children of Sponsoring Agency in all schools except those specifically notified otherwise by the Commissioner.

Similarly, 10 seats in all other classes put together (not more than 02 seats in each section) can be recommended by the Chairman VMC for the wards of employees of the sponsoring Agency. These admissions will be over and above the class strength, if otherwise eligible as per KVS Admission Guidelines.

Kendriya Vidyalaya admission priority 2020-21

The following priorities shall be followed in granting admissions for Class I in Kendiriya Vidyalaya –

(A) Kendriya Vidyalayas Under Civil/defence Sector

  1. Children of transferable and non-transferable Central government employees and children of ex-servicemen. This will also include children of Foreign National officials who come on deputation or transfer to India on invitation by Govt. of India.
  2. Children of transferable and non-transferable employees of Autonomous Bodies/Public Sector Undertaking/Institute of Higher Learning of the Government of India.
  3. Children of transferable and non-transferable State Government employees.
  4. Children of transferable and non-transferable employees of Autonomous Bodies/Public Sector Undertakings/Institute of Higher Learning of the State Governments.
  5. Children from any other category including the children of Foreign Nationals who are located in India due to their work or for any personal reasons. The children of Foreign National would be considered only in case there are no Children of Indian Nationals wait-listed for admission.

(1-5)Note: Preference in Admission to wards will be based on the number of transfers of the parents in the last 7 years.

(B) KENDRIYA VIDYALAYAS UNDER PUBLIC SECTOR UNDERTAKINGS/ INSTITUTES OF HIGHER LEARNING SECTOR:

1.Children and grandchildren of employees of the Project Sector/Institutes of Higher Learning which are the sponsors of the Vidyalaya , Children of Project employees & Post Graduate students who are working on long term research projects, Children of regular Council of Wardens(COW) employees and children and grandchildren of retired employees.

(1)Note: Preference in Admission will be given to children of serving employees , grand children of serving employees and children and grandchildren of retired employees in that order.

2.Children of transferable and non-transferable Central government employees and children of ex-servicemen. This will also include children of Foreign National officials who come on deputation or transfer to India on invitation by Govt. of India.

3.Children of transferable and non-transferable employees of Autonomous Bodies/Public Sector Undertaking/Institute of Higher Learning of the Government of India.

4.Children of transferable and non-transferable State Government employees.

5.Children of transferable and non-transferable employees of Autonomous Bodies/Public Sector Undertakings/Institute of Higher Learning of the State Governments.

6.Children from any other category including the children of Foreign Nationals who are located in India due to their work or for any personal reasons. The children of Foreign National would be considered only in case there are no Children of Indian Nationals wait-listed for admission.

RTE Admission in KV for Class I

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan is providing 25% admission for Class 1 10 seats (out of 40 seats) in Class I per section are to be filled as per RTE provisions(25% seats) and these seats will be filled by draw of Lots from all applications of SC/ST/EWS/BPL/OBC(Non Creamy Layer) who are the resident of Neighbourhood/ Differently able taken together.
